UNIOSUN Student Brags On Social Media About R*ping a Girl

A student of Osun State University, Sheyi Sheyi took to his Facebook page bragging about an indecent act of raping a girl
He revealed, the victim in question thought he was a nice person, not until they were together alone in a room, and he raped her. He wrote: “She thought am nice. Not until I raped her. Odun odun o lanrinrin” (Odun Odun means, it was sweet).
Nigerian reaction on the post:
A comment reads: Social media has unleashed and exposed a lot of deranged homo sapiens…FYI Rapes a CRIMINAL OFFENCE which you have just admitted to Folake Oyetosho….I am too aghast and upset to engage this moron… Were you to be in saner climes you will be in your way to languishing in prison.

Another comment read: You are such a mad and stupid boy for writing this. You think you can come on Facebook and spew rubbish? Irresponsible idiot.

Another comment reads: The bad thing is the idiot might take it down but people screenshot it please. Enough screenshots will make him think twice before posting nonsense next time.

Another comment: What nonsense is this? Are you in your correct senses? You are boasting about raping a girl? And you think it’s one big joke.

100-level Unilag Student Commits Suicide After Being Disgraced By Her Roommates For Stealing (Photos)

We have received reports concerning a young and vibrant Unilag Student, Ariyibi Ayomide who committed suicide by drinking sniper after she was allegedly set up.
Apparently, some belongings belonging to her colleagues in the same hostel where she resides were missing, and then she was fingered…. They searched her bag, only to find the items in her bags.. She was disgraced by other students in the school.
Ayomide then called her mum, a staff of the university, who later came to settle the matter.. Her mother paid N2,000, the value of what was found in her bags.. The mother then instructed Ayo to pack her stuffs home, which she did… She was “disgraced” while on her way home, as she couldn’t hold her heads up high.
Ayo arrived home, with her mom returning to work, only for Ayomide to drink sniper. A very poisonous substance.
Ayo was rushed to the hospital where she later died.
She was a 100-level student of Unilag from the faculty of business administration in department of Employee Relations and Human Resources Management (ER & HRM).
Read the Full Story Below:
An incident happened in her room (Amina Hostel) which involved the missing of belongings (which includes make up and clothes) of another girl in d same room. On Thursday, some of the belongings of the fellow room mate was found in Ayomide’s bag (scattered in three different bags – make up in one of of her bag, clothes in another bag and clothes in another bag making 3 of Ayomide’s bag).
As a result the roommates disgraced Ayo and called her many names (relating to a thief) and disgraced her publicly. Ayomide called her mum and her mum came down next day (Friday) to settle the issue. The make up was valued at #2000 in which Her mum paid. After that, her mum told her to pack her bags and follow her home which she did but as she was going the room mates shouted on her and called her so many names.
Her mum took her home and went back to work (her mum is a unilag staff). Ayomide was the only one left at home when she took sniper in the afternoon. Her mum came back in the evening and saw her child in a critical state. So she asked what happened to her; Ayomide just stretched her hand to do bottle of the sniper she took.
Immediately her mum gave her palm oil but results were not forthcoming. So she rushed her to a medical centre at ebute metta, still results were not favourable, she was then taken to Luth (Medilag).
Ayo gave up in LUTH around after 7 yesterday.
That’s d sad story
REST IN PEACE AYOMIDE!!!!

Group wants Police to investigate ASUU over JAMB's website

A group, Concerned Stakeholders in Education and Governance have urged the police authority to immediately investigate officials of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, (ASUU) to ascertain if its members have anything to do with the hacking of the JAMB website.

In a statement jointly signed by President of the group, Bala Kuta  and its Secretary General, Silas Awulu, the Stakeholders cited the statement credited to Chairman, Academic Staff Union of Universities, (ASUU) University of Ibadan Chapter, Dr Deji Omole who called for  the sack of the Registrar of JAMB and scrapping of the Board.

Kuta said the Concerned Stakeholders see Dr Omole's tirade against JAMB and its Registrar as part of a larger orchestration to sabotage the admission process to favour the syndicates that some dubious lecturers, who are no doubt ASUU members, use for populating the nation's higher institutions with mediocre candidates.

He said, "We also demand that the Police should further probe the hackers of the JAMB website to see if there is any nexus between the criminals and members of ASUU, University of Ibadan that they can go any length to destroy Professor Oloyede and his good reforms for Nigeria."

He said further, "recall that the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) arrested five suspects in this regard. We think that it is no coincidence that some of these suspects were arrested in Oyo state, where Dr Omole is based, in addition to the others caught in Ogun and Borno state."

According to him, the resort to this kind of tactics simply to get back at the Chief Executive of a government agency simply on a quest to even scores is a confirmation that ASUU has lost touch with contemporary realities  in the education.

He said, ASUU members had focused so much on the perennial demand for increase in their wages whilst leaving the welfare and quality of education to the dogs that they cannot appreciate trends in education.

He said, "Even as it tries to remove the speck from another's eye, in the ultimate insult to Nigerians, ASUU has refused to address the numerous cases of cultism, examination malpractice and sexual abuses perpetrated by its members on Nigerian campuses.

"It is therefore ridiculous that it has appointed itself into a tribunal over the Governing Board of JAMB.

We therefore call on the University of Ibadan Chapter of ASUU and Dr Omole to apologize to Nigerians for calling for the scrapping of JAMB".

While also carpeting a group, the Education a group, Rights Campaign (ERC) which claimed JAMB is ill prepared for the 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination(UTME?) Kuta said from its investigations, the board is more than equipped to carry out the examination.
